Welcome to the Continental Elementary School Webpage. We hope your visit here helps you to learn more about our fine school.

The 2008-2009 school year will start on Wednesday, August 6 at 8:20 a.m. The coming year calendar, class supply lists, and breakfast & lunch menus will be posted here on the website on Monday, July 21. All materials for the coming year as well as registration information will be available in our school office on week days from 8:00 to 3:30 p.m. starting July 21st as well. The admistration and staff are looking forward to another excelling year under the leadership of Superintendent Mr. Jim Nelson and our outstanding Governing Board.

Announcements

The Arizona State celebration of EXCELLENCE was held in our honor on April 14, 2008 in the David J. Fanning gymnasium. Arizona Department of Education Superintendent Mr. Tom Horne visited our campus to present our school with a plaque commemorating Continental School's status as an Excelling school. In addition, Mr. Horn entertained the school playing "Rhapsody in Blue" on the piano and the National Anthem on the tuba for the assembly of students, staff, and members of the school community.

Following the celebration of Exellence Mr. and Mrs. Horne attended the annual Continental School Volunteer Tea. The Tea is the school's way of celebrating and thanking our many volunteers who certainly play a large part in our students' successes.

We want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Horne for taking the time from their busy schedules to visit Continental School.
